The Soothing Relief Gel with Aloe and the Soothing Mint Body Lotion with Aloe and Stonecrop are COSMOS certified products combining the purest herbal ingredients with the latest biochemical developments delivering more effective and more visual results.

This Soothing Duo is dermatologist tested* for sensitive skin, and calms and cools the skin while reducing irritation, itchiness, redness, and the symptoms of burn. They contribute to skin barrier repair and leave a pleasant soft touch on the skin.

Menthyl Lactate 
Our Menthyl Lactate is a derivative of Menthol and Lactic Acid (from corn) that offers a pleasant, refreshing cooling effect on the skin. It's known for its mild, but long-lasting cooling action to soothe skin irritation or burn, reduce itchiness and redness, and calms the skin. This ingredient for our Soothing Duo, unlike pure menthol, is generally well-tolerated by the skin, causing less irritation. Menthyl Lactate also contributes to hydration, and leaves a pleasant aroma on the skin.

Aloe
The gel found in the succulent Aloe leaves soothes various skin conditions, including burns, wounds or eczema. It also moisturizes and softens the skin while supplying minerals and trace elements to the cells.

Stonecrop
As another succulent, Stonecrop also stores water in its leaves allowing them to tolerate prolonged drought. Also known as Hens and Chicks, it helps to reduce pigmentation and brightens the complexion. Stonecrop regenerates and firms stressed skin while has an astringent effect. Due to its nutrients, it effectively treats sensitive, burnt and irritated skin. 

Curly Mint
The essential oil and the pulps of Curly Mint leaves strengthen, cleanse, refresh, and deodorize. They have cooling, soothing, tightening, and anti-inflammatory. Curly Mint inhibits the growth of certain bacteria and soothes irritation. It also contains antioxidants that help reduce dark circles and fight premature aging. Other health benefits are attributed to the high manganese, vitamin C and vitamin A content; as well as trace amounts of various other nutrients such as fiber, iron, calcium, folate, potassium, tryptophan, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, riboflavin, and copper.

Yarrow
Yarrow is a flowering herb in the Asteraceae family. It acts as an astringent, tonic, stimulant and mild aromatic. It contains isovaleric acid, salicylic acid, asparagin, sterols, flavonoids, bitters, tannins, and coumarins. The plant also has a long history as a powerful 'healing herb' used topically for wounds, cuts and abrasions. Used for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties for sensitive, moisture- and lipid deficient skin prone to rosacea, and in other soothing and astringent products. Its flavonoids stimulate blood circulation and cell functioning.

Lemon Balm
A perennial plant in the mint family, Lemon Balm contains a high presence of antioxidants. 
It has antiviral and fungicidal effects. Its essential oil has refreshing, toning, anti-inflammatory properties, soothes sensitive skin and has relaxing and soothing effects as an aromatherapy ingredient.

Plantago
Plantago is a genus of herb commonly referred to as plantains or fleaworts. The herb is 
antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and antihistamine. Externally, the leaves have been used for rashes, sores, and even insect bites.

Sodium PCA 
Sodium PCA is the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). It is a humectant that improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture. Boosting hydration helps to maintain suppleness and skin elasticity.

Squalane 
A lightweight oil derived from olives, is anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant. It deeply nourishes, softens and smoothens dry, even crepey skin, and aids skin regeneration. 

Ascorbyl Glucoside
Ascorbyl glucoside is a stable vitamin C derivative. It reduces fine lines, enhances collagen production, and normalizes sebaceous gland functions.

Zinc Sulphate
Tightens skin and promotes skin healing. It plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of cell membranes. Without zinc, membranes become fragile and less resistant to harmful effects, significantly reducing cell vitality.

Indian Reed and Poria Mushroom (prebiotic)
An active ingredient combination derived from Indian reed and poria mushroom that has soothing effects. 
Indian reed is a prebiotic that nourish the beneficial bacteria (probiotics) on the skin, strengthening its protective microbiome and supporting overall skin health. Prebiotics are typically plant-based and act as fuel for these beneficial bacteria, helping them thrive and outnumber potentially harmful microorganisms. 
Poria mushroom is another prebiotic that contains polysaccharides that act as a food source for beneficial bacteria in the skin’s microbiome. It is used I skincare for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Poria cocos extract, derived from this mushroom, helps improve skin hydration, soothe irritation, and protect against damage caused by free radicals. Additionally, it helps brighten the skin, regulate oil production, and reinforce the skin’s natural barrier.

Tocopherol
A form of Vitamin E with regenerative and nourishing effects to maintain skin vitality and radiance. 

Ectoin
Ectoin is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative found in microorganisms that thrive in extreme environments. It acts as a protective agent, stabilizing proteins and cellular structures, and helping to shield against stressors like dryness, UV light, and heat. In skincare, Ectoin is used as an active ingredient to protect and strengthen the skin's barrier, promoting hydration, reducing inflammation, and improving elasticity. It works by binding with water, forming a protective layer on the skin. It regulates water evaporation from the skin. Ectoin is also known to smooth rough and scaly skin, plump fine lines and wrinkles, and reduce redness and sensitivity.

Squalane helps the skin to repair itself. Ectoin helps protect the skin from environmental stressors, dehydration, and promotes skin barrier improvements.
